With a breathtaking view of Mt. Moosilauke from the summit and a compact yet diverse terrain layout, Northeast Slopes offers something for everyone. The mountain features two rope tows and a T-Bar, with approximately 12 trails spread across more than 35 skiable acres, and a vertical drop of 360 feet.

More experienced skiers and riders are drawn to Northeast Slopes for its variety of rolling groomed trails, challenging steeps, glades, and jumps.

For beginners, the dedicated “junior” ski tow leads to gentle, beginner-friendly terrain that’s separated from the busier main slope. This thoughtful layout creates a welcoming, low-stress environment perfect for learning to ski or snowboard.

Getting to Northeast Slopes

We’re located on Route 25, between the Waits River Country Store and the East Corinth General Store.

From Southern Vermont:
Take I-91 North to Exit 16. Turn left onto Route 25 North toward Barre. Drive about 10 minutes—Northeast Slopes will be on your left.

From Western Vermont:
Take I-89 to Exit 7, then follow the access road into Barre. Continue on Route 302 through Barre and over Orange Heights. Turn right onto Route 25 South and drive about 5 miles. Northeast Slopes will be on your right.

ARRIVE PREPARED

• Bring Leather Gloves: If you plan to ride the rope tows, we strongly recommend you bring inexpensive leather work gloves. We sell these in the lodge for $8 per pair, in case you forget to bring your own!
• No Rentals Available: Due to insurance restrictions, Northeast Slopes cannot offer ski or snowboard rentals. Please bring your own equipment.
• Limited Cell Service: We are located in an area with little to no cell phone service. Please print or download directions ahead of time.
