Volunteer at The Slopes

Join Our Amazing Volunteer Crew!

Northeast Slopes is powered entirely by volunteers. There are no paychecks here—just the incredible reward of helping people experience the joy of skiing. The smiles and gratitude from children and adults alike, as they enjoy this unique opportunity to get outdoors and have wholesome winter fun, are truly heartwarming.

We can always use more helping hands and would love to work with anyone who’s willing and able to be part of something special.

As a volunteer, you can learn how to operate the T-Bar and Rope Tows, manage transactions and sell tickets and concessions and maintain the lodge. There is a place for everyone, regardless of ability or skill, here at NES!

Volunteer Training

Every early December—before the slopes open for the season—we offer training sessions for all lift operators. Dates and times are posted here and advertised locally. This insurance-mandated training takes about 90 minutes and is both informative and engaging.

You’ll get an inside look at the behind-the-scenes operations that keep this amazing place running and learn a lot along the way. The Little Tow—where so many children and beginners take their first turns—is easy to operate and genuinely fun. You really have to see it to believe it! The T-Bar, on the other hand, involves more advanced operations and safety procedures. Loading T’s can be a workout, and there is a logging protocol that must be followed for all activities.

Please don’t let training be a barrier to getting involved. If you’d like to jump in at any point during the season, we’ll happily connect you with a trainer.

To get started, email us and we’ll set it up.
